Meet Bloomie: The smart flower that senses CO₂, temperature and humidity, opening and closing its petals with your air quality.

If you are looking for a more natural way to track your indoor environment rather than staring at digital screens, ABOUND has designed a beautifully intuitive solution. Launching on Kickstarter, Bloomie is a smart air sensor disguised as a mechanical flower. By continuously monitoring your room and physically opening or closing its petals based on the air quality, it seamlessly blends environmental awareness with elegant home decor.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Name and Creator Bloomie The Flower That Reacts to Your Air by ABOUND.
What It Is Bloomie is a smart indoor air quality monitor shaped like a mechanical flower. It continuously tracks carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity, and communicates the health of your room through the physical movement of its petals and subtle lighting.
KEY FEATURES
Mechanical Flower Display Instead of relying on numerical screens, Bloomie reacts naturally to the environment. As CO2 levels rise and the air becomes stale, the flower gently closes. Once you open a window and fresh air returns, Bloomie blooms open to indicate a healthy space.
Triple Sensor Monitoring The device continuously tracks carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity. It heavily focuses on CO2, as elevated levels are one of the strongest indicators of poor ventilation that can lead to a lack of focus or poor sleep.
Color Coded Light Alerts In addition to its physical movement, Bloomie features an intuitive light system. A steady white light means the air is healthy, while a pulsing or solid yellow light immediately warns you that the air quality is declining.
Battery Free Longevity To eliminate battery degradation and reduce electronic waste, Bloomie is designed without an internal battery. It stays plugged into the wall, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted monitoring for years.
Smart App Integration While the device works independently right out of the box, it connects to a companion app via Wi-Fi. The app provides detailed real time data, historical air quality trends, and sends push notifications before the air becomes unhealthy.
Multi Room Ecosystem You can place multiple Bloomies in different spaces like your bedroom, living room, and home office. The system links them together so you can monitor the air quality map of your entire home from your phone.
REWARDS
Kickstarter Pricing Early backers can secure Bloomie at discounted crowdfunding prices before it enters the broader retail market.
Options Supporters can pledge for a single Bloomie unit or opt for multi packs to build a comprehensive air monitoring ecosystem across different rooms.
Delivery The Kickstarter campaign is currently active and will run until the end of August 2026. The ABOUND team will provide regular updates throughout the manufacturing process before initiating global fulfillment.
CONCEPT
The core concept is Intuitive Environmental Awareness. The creators at ABOUND believe that traditional monitors often go ignored because they only display abstract numbers. By using the familiar, calming behavior of a living plant, they aim to make indoor air quality visible and emotionally engaging, encouraging users to simply open a window before they start feeling sluggish.
INSPIRATION
The project was inspired by the age old connection between thriving plants and healthy living environments. The internationally recognized design team behind Bloomie wanted to build a piece of smart technology that enhances home decor rather than looking like an industrial tool. Drawing on their background in award winning product design, they engineered a calm, unobtrusive device that quietly cares for the air you breathe while adding a touch of interactive beauty to your desk or nightstand.
