Naya Connect: The All-In-One Keyboard Ecosystem

The infinitely customisable ecosystem.

Snap, Click, Create: Naya Connect Wants to Unclutter Your Desk

We all have that "peripherals graveyard" on our desks: a mechanical keyboard here, a mouse there, maybe a macro pad or a dedicated 3D controller fighting for space. Naya is back to clean up that mess. After the success of their split ergonomic keyboard (Naya Create), they are launching Naya Connect, a modular ecosystem that lets you snap trackballs, dials, and touchpads directly onto your keyboard, turning it into a unified command center.

Project Overview

Name and Creator: Naya Connect: The All-In-One Keyboard Ecosystem by Naya.

What It Is: Naya Connect is a modular hardware ecosystem built around a low-profile mechanical keyboard (Naya Type) and a standalone hub (Naya Dock). Unlike static keyboards, this system features magnetic ports that allow you to attach various input modules, like a numpad, a trackball, or a haptic dial, directly to the side of your board. It transforms a standard typing tool into a fully customized workstation that adapts to your specific workflow.

Key Features

  • Modular "Snap-On" Ecosystem: The core innovation is the magnetic connection system. You can physically attach modules to the keyboard or the dock, allowing you to build a setup that grows sideways.

  • Naya Type Keyboard: A sleek, 75% low-profile mechanical keyboard. It features an aerospace-grade aluminum body, hot-swappable Kailh Choc V2 switches, and a split spacebar for added efficiency. At just 14.9mm thick, it is designed for minimalism without sacrificing travel.

  • The Modules:

    • Track: A high-precision trackball with custom buttons.

    • Touch: A glass touchpad for gestures and navigation.

    • Tune: A programmable dial with haptic feedback for scrolling timelines or adjusting volume.

    • Float: A 6-Degrees-of-Freedom (6DoF) navigator, perfect for 3D modeling and CAD work.

    • Multi-Pad: A detachable numpad that doubles as a macro grid.

  • Naya Dock: For those who want their modules separate from the keyboard, the Dock acts as a standalone wireless hub. It gives your modules a home and adds extra programmable keys.

  • Naya Flow Software: The hardware is powered by sophisticated software that allows for deep customization, letting you create app-specific layers and complex macros that trigger across different modules.

Rewards

  • Kickstarter Pricing:

    • Naya Type (Keyboard): Backers can secure the base keyboard for a discounted price compared to future retail.

    • Module Bundles: Various tiers allow you to mix and match modules (e.g., "Creator Bundle" with Tune and Track) to build your ideal setup.

    • Ecosystem Packs: The highest tiers include the keyboard, dock, and a full suite of modules for the ultimate modular experience.

  • Delivery: Shipping is currently estimated to begin between February and April 2027.

Concept

The core concept is "Adaptive Workflow." Naya believes that a video editor needs a different toolset than a software engineer or a 3D artist. Instead of forcing everyone to use the same static rectangle, Naya Connect treats the keyboard as a platform. It allows the hardware to physically shapeshift, ensuring that the right tool, whether it's a dial for color grading or a trackball for CAD, is always just a finger's reach away.

Inspiration

The team was inspired by the fragmentation of modern creative work. They saw professionals juggling multiple standalone devices, like a 3D mouse, a stream deck, a separate numpad, and realized these tools should be integrated, not isolated. Building on the modular technology they developed for Naya Create, they wanted to bring that same "Lego-like" flexibility to a more traditional keyboard form factor, making modularity accessible to everyone, not just ergonomic die-hards.
