Build Your Crew. Earn Your Legend.

If you have ever wanted to run your own crew of Edgerunners through the neon lit streets of Night City, the tabletop world has a massive new obsession. Shattering Kickstarter records and raising over 15 million dollars in days, The Official Cyberpunk Trading Card Game brings the dystopian universe of Cyberpunk 2077 to your kitchen table. Developed by WeirdCo in partnership with CD Projekt Red, this game ditches the standard cash grab tie in formula for deep, tactical deckbuilding. By combining classic trading card mechanics with polyhedral dice and beloved characters from the video game and anime, it is an adrenaline fueled plunge into corporate espionage and high stakes gigs.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Name and Creator: The Official Cyberpunk Trading Card Game by WeirdCo.
What It Is: A highly strategic, competitive trading card game set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players build crews of iconic characters, equip them with cyberware, and complete gigs to earn street cred, utilizing a mix of cards and polyhedral dice to determine their fate.
KEY FEATURES
Crew Building Mechanics: Instead of just playing random monsters, you assemble a dedicated crew of Edgerunners led by iconic "Legend" cards like V, Johnny Silverhand, or Jackie Welles.
RAM Limit System: Your chosen Legends dictate the complexity of your deck. The cumulative RAM value of your three Legend cards sets the maximum RAM limit and color restrictions for the rest of your 40 to 50 card deck, forcing players to make tough, tactical deckbuilding choices.
Dynamic Card Types: The game revolves around four main card types: Units (your attackers), Programs (instant effects), Gear (cyberware and weapons to equip your units), and Legends (the leaders of your crew).
Polyhedral Dice Integration: Combat and gig resolutions are not just about card stats. The game uses a full set of RPG dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20) to add an element of unpredictable tabletop chaos.
Eddies Resource System: To pay for your cards, the game uses an "Eddies" economy where players sell specific cards from their hand that feature an Eddie symbol, ensuring you always have to balance your resources against your offensive options.
Original Human Artwork: The creators have instituted a strict no-AI policy, promising that every card features either brand new, original illustrations or classic, high quality art from the video game franchise.
REWARDS
Kickstarter Pricing: The entry level "Common Cyberdecks" tier starts at 49 dollars for two starter decks. However, the most popular tier is the "Netrunner Starter Kit" at 349 dollars, which includes three full Booster Displays and heavily optimizes the price per pack for serious players.
Options: Backers of this campaign receive exclusive "Beta Boxes" of the debut "Welcome to Night City" set, which are expected to become highly coveted collector items. Stretch goals have unlocked free promo cards for all backers, including a rare Rebecca card from the Edgerunners anime and exclusive foil Legend packs.
Delivery: WeirdCo is splitting fulfillment into two waves to get cards to players faster. The first wave, containing starter decks and beta booster displays, is expected to ship via express delivery in Q3 2026. Accessories and remaining items will follow in Q4 2026.
CONCEPT
The core concept is High Stakes Tabletop Espionage. WeirdCo and CD Projekt Red wanted to build a game that genuinely reflects the ruthless, high risk lifestyle of Night City. By focusing on crew synergies, risky gigs, and a tangible economy, they created a competitive card game that feels less like a traditional fantasy battler and more like orchestrating a desperate, neon soaked heist.
INSPIRATION
The TCG draws deep inspiration from both the blockbuster Cyberpunk 2077 video game and the acclaimed Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The development team at WeirdCo, utilizing their experience from other major card games, wanted to honor the franchise's original tabletop RPG roots by integrating polyhedral dice into the mechanics. They also looked at modern, streamlined resource systems in other popular card games to ensure the gameplay felt fast, punishing, and perfectly aligned with the Cyberpunk ethos.
