What It Is: A fully mechanical, battery-free toy/fidget device featuring a telescoping polycarbonate blade that extends and retracts with a single, satisfying twist of the hilt. This second version moves away from 3D-printed parts to a factory-built, injection-molded design for superior durability and a refined aesthetic.
Key Features
Twist-to-Extend/Retract Mechanism: The core of the Twistsaber 2 is its patent-pending twist mechanism. With a simple, fluid twisting motion of the wrist, the blade instantly extends to its full length (785mm / 31 inches). Another twist in the opposite direction makes it retract just as quickly, collapsing into a compact and portable form. This fully mechanical action requires no batteries, charging, or electronics.
Factory-Built for Durability: Unlike the first generation of Twistsabers which were 3D-printed, the Twistsaber 2 is mass-produced using injection molding. This manufacturing process results in a more robust, battle-ready product with a durable polycarbonate blade and a premium metal hilt. It's designed to withstand casual backyard duels and regular use without the rattling or fragility of its predecessor.
Customizable Colors and Hilt Designs: Backers can choose from a variety of blade colors, including Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Purple. In addition, there are multiple hilt designs to select from, including a Mace Windu-inspired design, allowing for a personalized touch. An optional glow-in-the-dark upgrade is also available for a striking visual effect in low light.

The Idea
