If you are tired of carrying a heavy U lock, a front wheel cable, and a separate tether for your saddle just to run into a coffee shop, a Spanish startup has engineered a streamlined alternative. Launching on Kickstarter, the Cordalock is a modular three in one bike security system. By combining hardened steel rings with independently functioning loops, it allows you to secure your frame, both wheels, and your seat using just one device and a single key.

What It Is The Cordalock is an innovative, flexible bike lock that replaces the need to carry multiple separate security devices. It uses a central key and tensioning mechanism to form two secure loops, protecting your entire bicycle in one quick motion.
KEY FEATURES
Complete Bike Security The lock is designed to secure the frame, both wheels, and even the saddle all at once. This eliminates the traditional hassle of mixing and matching different locks.
Independently Functioning Loops Unlike standard cable locks where a single cut ruins the entire system, the Cordalock features independently functioning segments. If a thief manages to cut one loop, the rest of the bicycle remains securely locked to the rack.
Hardened Steel Ring Construction The internal structure features a braided stainless steel core surrounded by overlapping hardened steel rings. In testing, this heavy duty design jammed standard 350 watt angle grinders and resisted massive amounts of shear force.
Cinch and Lock Mechanism To lock the bike, you simply loop the ends around the frame and wheels, clamp the hasps, and twist the central cap to take up the slack. A single key then locks the entire tight assembly into place.
Modular and Expandable The system is built to grow with your needs. You can add extra branches to secure a cargo basket, a second bicycle, or upgrade to the three in one model that includes a dedicated saddle lock cable.
Weatherproof Exterior The heavy metal core is wrapped in a protective textile sleeve to prevent the lock from scratching your bike frame while withstanding daily exposure to rain and city grime.

Kickstarter Pricing Early backers can secure the basic Cordalock for around 180 dollars, with the upgraded three in one saddle lock version available for approximately 206 dollars.
Options Supporters can customize their lock by choosing from five different color combinations. The creators are also offering two different arm lengths to accommodate both standard commuter bikes and larger electric bike frames.
Delivery The Kickstarter campaign is fully active through the summer of 2026. The manufacturing team will provide detailed updates on production and shipping timelines as the funding phase concludes.
