OLED In-Lens Display | Native Eye-Tracking | All-day battery life | Only 47g | Live Translation | Rx Ready | AI-Camera | 28° FOV

If you have been following the augmented reality space, you know that smart glasses have spent the last decade failing the same basic test. They are usually too heavy, the batteries die by noon, or the displays are completely invisible in sunlight. Everysight, a team of former aerospace optical engineers, is aiming to fix all of those problems with the Maverick AI. Launching to massive success on Kickstarter, these smart glasses cram a full color OLED display, an AI camera, and native eye tracking into a sleek frame that weighs just 47 grams. It is a massive leap forward that proves AR eyewear does not have to look or feel like strapping a brick to your face.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Name and Creator: Maverick AI: The Lightest, Full Color AR+AI Glasses by Everysight.

What It Is: Maverick AI is a pair of lightweight, all day augmented reality smart glasses. They feature an AI powered forward facing camera and a high brightness projection display that overlays digital information directly into your line of sight.

KEY FEATURES

  • Ultra Lightweight Design: At just 47 grams, the Maverick AI weighs roughly the same as standard eyewear, making it comfortable enough to wear from morning until night.

  • BEAM Optics and Color OLED: Instead of using thick, heavy waveguides, Everysight uses its patented BEAM projection technology. It bounces a 5,000 nit, full color Sony Micro OLED display directly off the lens, resulting in a bright, crisp 1280x720 resolution image that is easily readable indoors and outdoors.

  • Native Eye Tracking: The premium Maverick AI Pro model includes Everysight's GazeIntent technology. A tiny embedded sensor tracks your eye movements, allowing you to navigate menus and control the interface entirely hands free just by looking at what you want to select.

  • Real Time AI Camera: The front facing camera actively understands your surroundings. It can provide live language translation, perform object recognition, and deliver contextual information directly to your display and built in speakers.

  • All Day Battery Life: The highly efficient projection system and internal batteries allow for 8 to 10 hours of continuous, display on operation, completely eliminating the battery anxiety associated with most AR glasses.

  • Embedded Prescription Support: For users who wear glasses, the Maverick AI supports direct prescription lens integration without the need for bulky, annoying magnetic inserts.

REWARDS

  • Kickstarter Pricing: Backers can secure the base Maverick AI at an early bird price of 299 dollars (compared to a planned 499 dollar retail price). The eye tracking equipped Maverick AI Pro is available for 359 dollars.

  • Options: Users can select between Medium and Large sizes to match their pupillary distance, and can add on extras like clear indoor visors or prescription lens upgrades.

  • Delivery: The campaign raised over 65 times its original funding goal in record time. Global shipping to backers is currently scheduled to begin in August 2026.

CONCEPT

The core concept is Glanceable Utility. Everysight believes that smart glasses should not try to plunge you into total virtual reality while you are walking down the street. Instead, the Maverick AI is designed to stay out of your way, placing a 28 degree field of view directly in your line of sight to provide navigation, notifications, and AI assistance exactly when you need it, and fading away when you do not.

INSPIRATION

The project is built on over a decade of aerospace and optical engineering experience. Everysight was founded in 2012 and previously developed the highly successful Maverick Sport, which was even selected by BMW Motorrad for their official smart riding glasses. Inspired by the sudden boom in artificial intelligence and the persistent flaws in consumer AR, the team wanted to take their proven, road tested optics and combine them with modern AI tools to create the ultimate everyday wearable.
