What It Is The Minimal Phone 2 is a focused, 5G Android device that merges the classic physical keyboard layout with modern processing power. It is designed to act as a fully capable smartphone that actively discourages doomscrolling through a stripped down, command based interface.

Physical QWERTY Keyboard The phone features a full size, backlit physical keyboard crafted from transparent polycarbonate and silicone. It utilizes metal dome switches for real travel and tactile feedback, bringing back accurate typing and customizable long press shortcuts.
Distraction Free Minimal OS Instead of a grid of addictive app icons, the custom Minimal OS replaces the home screen with a simple command bar. However, because it runs on a full Android backbone, you still have access to the Google Play Store for essential apps like maps, rideshares, and banking.
Compact AMOLED Display To accommodate the keyboard while discouraging media binging, the phone uses a more compact 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
Hardcore Focus Modes The device includes built in settings to block specific apps, silence notifications, and even switch the screen to grayscale mode. If you activate these hardcore limitations, they require a full factory reset to undo, locking you into your focus goals.
Modern Internals Behind the retro aesthetic is a modern MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage.

Options The phone is available in Pearl, Onyx, and a campaign exclusive Ember red colorway. Pledges also include 100 dollars worth of accessories, adding a fitted case, three screen protectors, and a fast charger.

The project is a direct evolution of the team's original e-paper Minimal Phone. Taking feedback from their first successful launch, the engineering team realized that while users wanted to reduce screen time, they still needed the fluidity and color of a traditional display for certain essential tasks. Drawing inspiration from classic tactile smartphones of the past, they swapped the e-paper for a high quality AMOLED screen and built an elegant metal frame, creating a premium device that balances modern performance with digital mindfulness.
