Powered by our patented measuring technology, we can truly restore padel and tennis balls to 100% pressure.

If you are tired of throwing away perfectly good tennis and padel balls just because they have lost their bounce, a team of engineers has designed a high-tech solution. Launching on Kickstarter, NIXUS is a smart ball charger and repressurizer. By combining patent-pending pressure measurement technology with a rugged, portable design, it actively pumps air back into your sports balls, restoring them to factory pressure and saving you money on every match.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Name and Creator NIXUS | Tennis & Padel Smart Ball Charger by NIXUS Sports.
What It Is NIXUS is an electronic, smart ball repressurizer. Instead of just acting as a passive storage container to slow down leaks, it actively measures and restores the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls back to their original factory levels, drastically extending their playable life.
KEY FEATURES
Smart Pressure Charging The device utilizes patent-pending technology to measure the internal pressure of each ball with 97.5 percent accuracy. It then calculates an optimized recharging algorithm to actively press air back into the balls, much like fast-charging an electric vehicle.
Integrated Digital Display For the first time, the repressurization process is completely visible. A built-in screen housed safely under scratch-resistant plastic displays the current pressure level, the charge percentage, and the estimated time remaining until the balls are ready for court play.
Dual Sport and Custom Targets The same tube can be used seamlessly for both tennis and padel balls. Furthermore, NIXUS allows you to set custom target pressures, giving you the freedom to fine-tune the bounce to suit your specific playstyle or court conditions.
Rugged, Zero-Friction Seal Built to survive being tossed around in sports bags, the device features a tough housing and a unique zero-friction seal. Instead of twisting and grinding the rubber O-ring when you close the cap, it presses straight down, preventing the seal from wearing out over time.
Long-Lasting Battery The smart charger is fully portable and can run for weeks on a single charge. When the battery does run low, it easily recharges via a standard USB-C cable.
Repairable and Sustainable Designed to help curb the millions of sports balls thrown into landfills each year, NIXUS is assembled with screws rather than glue. This allows users to easily replace individual parts themselves without having to throw away the entire device if something breaks.
REWARDS
Kickstarter Pricing Early backers can secure the NIXUS charger at discounted pledge tiers, offering significant savings compared to the planned retail price.
Options Pledges include the smart charger unit and the pressurized tube. Because severely depleted balls can take a while to recharge initially, the team also offers an option to ship a fresh set of balls with your device so you can start using it immediately.
Delivery The campaign has already vastly exceeded its initial funding goal and will conclude in mid-September 2026. The NIXUS Sports team is targeting global delivery to backers for May 2027.
CONCEPT
The core concept is Sustainable Peak Performance. The creators at NIXUS Sports believe that players should not be forced into a costly cycle of constantly buying new balls just because the internal air has escaped. By engineering a device that actively and accurately reverses that pressure loss, they aim to give athletes the premium feel of opening a fresh can for every match while significantly reducing environmental waste.
INSPIRATION
The project was born from the creators' own frustration on the court. As engineers who regularly play padel and tennis, they were tired of throwing away balls with pristine felt simply because they had gone flat. Realizing that existing manual screw-top tubes were often inaccurate and only slowed down the inevitable deflation, they set out to build the smart device they wished existed—a rugged, automatic "fast charger" that takes the guesswork out of repressurization.
