The modern-day adventurer and urban commuter often face a common problem: carrying multiple hydration systems to meet different needs. Whether it is a bottle for filtered water, a cup for mixing electrolytes, or a standalone purifier for a quick drink from a stream, the gear can become bulky and cumbersome. The challenge is to consolidate all of this into one seamless, adaptable, and highly effective system. The vision is a single bottle that can purify, mix, and hydrate, all while remaining lightweight and effortless to use. Oassay, a company founded by a team of passionate outdoor enthusiasts and clean technology innovators, is introducing the FlexFlow: 3-in-1 Modular Purifier Bottle for Easy Hydration, a product designed to revolutionize the way people drink on the go.
Project Overview
Name and Creator: FlexFlow: 3-in-1 Modular Purifier Bottle for Easy Hydration by Oassay. The company was founded by Caroline Zhang, a dedicated backcountry backpacker.
What It Is: The FlexFlow is a versatile, modular purifier bottle that combines a purification system, a portable cup, and a lightweight bottle into a single unit. It is engineered for a wide range of uses, from remote wilderness trails to everyday urban settings.
Key Features
3-in-1 Modular System: The bottle’s modular design allows you to switch between three modes:
Filter-Only Mode: Use the purifier head to filter water directly into any standard plastic bottle.
Purifier Bottle Mode: Attach the purifier to Oassay's lightweight, food-grade silicone soft bottle for on-the-go hydration.
Purifier + Cup Mode: Add a cup to the system for mixing drinks, brewing coffee, or boiling water for meals.
Dual-Stage Filtration: At the core of the FlexFlow is a powerful dual-stage filter that combines a patent-pending NanoFlex™ Carbon and a 0.1 μm hollow fiber micro-filtration membrane. It is rigorously tested and certified to remove 99.999% of viruses, bacteria, parasites, microplastics, and other contaminants.
Backwashable Technology: The filter is backwashable, meaning you can easily flush out sediment with a simple squeeze, which extends the cartridge life up to five times longer than conventional filters.
Lightweight and Sustainable: Made from food-grade, BPA-free ABS and silicone, the complete system weighs approximately 440g. The focus on a long-lasting, backwashable filter and modular repair also reflects a commitment to a more sustainable future by reducing the need for disposable products.

The Idea
Concept: The core concept for the FlexFlow was born from a simple question: "Why carry three bottles when one should do it all?" The creators, having experienced the frustrations of bulky gear themselves, wanted to create a single system that seamlessly combines purification, safety, and convenience.
Inspiration: The project was inspired by the team's personal experiences in the outdoors. They recognized the need for a purifier that didn't force you to choose between weight, usability, or safety. Their breakthrough came with the development of the NanoFlex™ Carbon technology, a feather-light and flexible material that became the foundation for the entire FlexFlow system. Their design philosophy was to create a tool that is not only functional but also elegant, making clean water feel effortless and beautiful.
