What It Is The Somni Mask Pro is an advanced sleep tracking mask specifically designed for lucid dream practice. It watches for the rapid eye movements associated with REM sleep and responds by delivering subtle light and sound signals, giving you a chance to realize you are dreaming without waking you up.
KEY FEATURES
Infrared Eye Tracking The inside of the mask features a removable module containing four infrared sensors. These sensors track your eye movements safely without the use of lasers or electrodes.
Customizable Light Cues When REM sleep is detected, the mask emits a warm LED light cue from the inside. You can fully adjust the brightness and color of this light using the companion app to ensure it bleeds into your dream without jolting you awake.

Options Pledges include the main Somni Mask Pro unit and the companion app. There is also a limited gift tier for $209 that includes a printed card shipped in the same box.
Delivery The Kickstarter campaign is actively running. Somni Technologies is targeting global delivery for March 2027.
CONCEPT
The core concept is Technological Reality Checking. The creators believe that the hardest part of lucid dreaming is simply remembering to check if you are asleep. By engineering a device that physically recognizes your dream state and sends a signal from the waking world, they aim to bridge the gap between your sleeping mind and your conscious awareness.
INSPIRATION
The project is a direct evolution of the team's first successful Kickstarter campaign in 2020. After selling the original Somni Mask for three years, they decided to completely rebuild the platform from scratch. They listened to user feedback and upgraded the hardware with a new board, better multi-directional infrared sensors, and a dedicated smartphone app to replace the clunky text file configuration of the previous generation.
