6DoF room-scale tracking, hand-gesture recognition, and high-fidelity video see-through, all in a 93-gram frame.

If you are looking for the immersive power of a spatial computing headset without the heavy, neck straining bulk, Unseen Reality has engineered a featherlight alternative. Launching on Kickstarter, the URXR One is a pair of lightweight spatial display glasses. By stripping out the onboard battery and processor and offloading them to the devices you already own, it delivers flagship level 6DoF tracking and high resolution virtual screens in a package that weighs just 93 grams.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Name and Creator URXR One Lightweight Spatial Display Glasses by Unseen Reality.

What It Is The URXR One is a pair of ultra lightweight mixed reality glasses designed to replace traditional monitors and bulky VR headsets. It connects directly to your laptop, smartphone, or gaming handheld via USB-C to project massive, spatially locked virtual screens into your physical environment.

KEY FEATURES

  • Featherlight 93g Build By removing the internal battery and heavy processors, the glasses weigh just 93 grams. This allows for comfortable, all day wear that traditional half pound headsets cannot match.

  • Micro-OLED Clarity The glasses utilize mini pancake optics and dual Micro-OLED displays. They deliver a sharp 2448 by 2064 pixel resolution per eye with a 90 degree ultra wide field of view and 36 PPD clarity.

  • Onboard Spatial Processing A dedicated spatial processing unit in the frame handles 6DoF room scale tracking and dual eye SLAM in real time. This keeps your virtual screens perfectly anchored in space when you move your head.

  • Hand Gesture Controls Four forward facing cameras enable advanced hand tracking and video passthrough. You can resize, move, and select your virtual screens simply by reaching out and pinching the air.

  • Triple Virtual Screens When connected to a compatible device, you can open up to three massive virtual displays side by side, creating a full multi monitor workspace anywhere you sit.

  • Plug and Play Connectivity It connects seamlessly via USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode to laptops and handheld consoles like the Steam Deck. For devices that cannot supply enough power on their own, an optional 10,000 mAh Power Hub is available.

REWARDS

  • Kickstarter Pricing Early backers can secure the URXR One starting at a Super Early Bird price of 699 dollars. The standard campaign price sits at 799 dollars, representing a solid discount from the planned 899 dollar retail cost.

  • Options Supporters can pledge for the core glasses, and add on the optional Power Hub bundle if they plan to use the device extensively with their smartphones.

  • Delivery The Kickstarter campaign launched in early August 2026. The engineering team is moving quickly through the final stages of development and is targeting mid October 2026 to begin shipping out to backers.

CONCEPT

The core concept is Unburdened Spatial Computing. The creators at Unseen Reality believe that powerful mixed reality should not feel like wearing a heavy helmet. By engineering a device that acts as a superpower for the tech you already carry rather than trying to act as a standalone computer, they aim to give professionals and gamers a massive, private viewing experience that is actually comfortable enough to use all day.

INSPIRATION

The project was inspired by the glaring weight problem of modern VR and AR headsets. The team recognized an unspoken rule in the industry that you cannot fit a camera array, a processor, and a battery into a device under 130 grams. Instead of compromising on the tracking sensors, they simply broke the rule by eliminating the battery and main processor entirely. This allowed them to pack flagship level spatial tracking and stunning optics into a pair of glasses that feel remarkably close to standard eyewear.
