A customizable keyboard with a detachable touch display, hot-swappable switches, and full RGB control for a smarter workspace

If you have ever struggled to choose between the high speed performance of a gaming keyboard and the premium feel of a custom mechanical board, Womier is aiming to end that debate. Their newest project, the Duo87, is an 80 percent TKL keyboard that packs cutting edge magnetic switch technology into a refined, enthusiast grade chassis. By offering lightning fast response times alongside a customizable visual display and a multi-function knob, the Duo87 is designed to be a versatile powerhouse for both competitive gamers and keyboard collectors alike.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Name and Creator Womier Duo87 Magnetic Switch Mechanical Keyboard by Womier.
What It Is The Duo87 is a Tenkeyless (TKL) magnetic switch keyboard. It features a Hall Effect sensor system that allows for extreme customization of key sensitivity, making it a high performance tool for gaming that does not sacrifice the typing experience.
KEY FEATURES
Hall Effect Magnetic Switches The keyboard uses advanced magnetic switches that allow for adjustable actuation. You can set the trigger point anywhere from a shallow 0.1mm for instant reactions to a deep 4.0mm for a deliberate typing feel.
Rapid Trigger Technology This feature allows a key to reset the instant your finger starts to move upward, which is a massive advantage in fast paced games where quick, repetitive inputs are required.
1.14 Inch TFT Display A vibrant built in screen provides real time data and customization. You can upload custom GIFs, monitor system performance, or adjust your settings directly on the hardware without opening a software menu.
8000Hz Polling Rate When used in wired mode, the keyboard communicates with your computer 8,000 times per second. This reduces latency to near zero, which ensures that your inputs are registered with absolute precision.
Multi Function Metal Knob A tactile aluminum knob allows you to quickly adjust volume, browse through the on screen menus, or control lighting effects with a simple turn and click.
Premium Gasket Mount The internal structure uses a gasket mount design with five layers of sound dampening foam. This eliminates harsh metallic pings and provides a soft, cushioned feel that enthusiasts look for in high end custom boards.
Tri Mode Connectivity It supports high speed 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0 for multiple devices, and a stable USB type C wired connection.
REWARDS
Kickstarter Pricing Early backers can secure the Duo87 at a significant discount compared to its future retail price. The Super Early Bird tiers offer the keyboard at a highly competitive entry point for a Hall Effect device.
Options Backers can choose between a lightweight, durable plastic case or a premium CNC machined aluminum version. Multiple colorways are available, including a classic professional black and a clean, minimalist white.
Delivery The campaign is moving through its final production stages. Global fulfillment to early supporters is estimated to begin in the summer of 2026.
CONCEPT
The core concept is Performance Driven Versatility. Womier recognized that the gaming world was moving toward magnetic switches for their speed, but many of those keyboards lacked the aesthetic and acoustic qualities of the custom keyboard hobby. The Duo87 aims to bridge this gap by providing a device that looks and feels like a boutique custom board while housing the fastest switch technology currently available.
INSPIRATION
Womier has spent years building a reputation for vibrant, RGB heavy keyboards that provide great value. Inspired by the explosive growth of the "Rapid Trigger" meta in competitive gaming, the engineering team set out to create a board that felt more "grown up" and professional. They combined their expertise in lighting and build quality with the latest Hall Effect sensors to create a TKL board that serves as a centerpiece for any desk setup, whether you are climbing the ranks in a shooter or writing a long report.
